Request guest gear

Send the group's single gear request, filled in from the guest forms, and confirm the pickup for the whole group.

One request for the whole group

Open Build gear request from the CIS. It opens one request for the whole group, not one per guide. Any guide on the group can send it or edit it while it is pending, and the CIS shows who sent it. Equipment stays allocated to each guest throughout the stay, even if the coordinator corrects an assignment or rotates the guest to another guide.

Start from the guest forms

  1. The request opens already filled in from what each guest answered in their form. Every product is one size, shown after a middle dot, for example “Simms Waders Men · XL 12-14”.
  2. Open a guest to see their form answers next to the items. When an answer matches more than one product, pick the right one with one tap. If Inventory pinned an item to that size, it comes already chosen. Add or remove items, or change the quantity, if your conversation with the guest says otherwise. Back returns you to the group, not to the CIS.
  3. Review the group and send it. If a guest's size is still open, the app asks before sending; you can go back to choose it or send anyway.

Missing forms do not prevent a request, and a non-angler can still receive equipment. Every unit belongs to a named guest. If an item came back damaged, was lost, was reported returned or its request was cancelled, you can request the same product for that guest again.

After sending, the CIS gear card shows the group's request: its status, who sent it, one line per guest and, under N items not requested, what the guests' forms asked for that the request still leaves out.

Pending requests

Sending records demand without reserving stock. Inventory checks real availability and prepares the complete request. If stock is insufficient, the request stays pending; Inventory does not reject it or partially approve it.

While the request is pending, any guide on the group can use Edit request to add guests or items, or Cancel request. Once Inventory approves, those actions lock. If someone else changed the request, refresh before trying again. While a request is pending, add to it instead of sending another one. Once Inventory approves, New gear request is available for other guests or extra gear.

Approval and pickup

Inventory approval reserves the items and marks them Ready for pickup. The guests' guides receive a ready notice. Approval is not pickup.

Usually one person collects the whole group's gear. A guide or an assistant on the group collects the prepared items, then uses Confirm pickup for the items collected. Pickup can happen without Inventory staff present. The rest of the group's team gets a notice that the gear is out. The requester, approver and the person who collected it stay separate in the history.

Gear actions require a connection. If confirmation fails, retry the same action and check the saved status before assuming pickup succeeded.

Gear waits only at the start of a Fishing Program

Creating and sending a Program never waits for gear; the review step only warns when a guest's gear isn't requested yet. Starting a Fishing Program waits until the gear its guests asked for is picked up. Guests who bring their own gear, or never answered the gear questions, never hold it up.

Next: create the Program or swap and return guest gear.
